01 · What is DIAlami

A personalized minimal-preparation
veneer treatment.

"DIAlami is not about making every smile uniformly white or perfectly aligned. It is designed around the unique balance of your face, lips, teeth, and gums."

Thin, precisely crafted ceramic veneers are bonded to the front surfaces of the teeth to improve their color, shape, length, proportion, and overall alignment.

Rather than simply covering the teeth, DIAlami begins with a detailed evaluation of your current dental condition. Each veneer is designed to improve only what is necessary while preserving the natural tooth underneath.

At Guardians Dental Clinic, our priority is to minimize unnecessary tooth reduction and preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible.

Not just whiter.
Naturally yours.

A beautiful smile is not defined by teeth that are simply larger, straighter, or brighter. The most natural results come from finding the right balance.

03 · Who Is DIAlami For

DIAlami may be suitable
for the following concerns.

— 01

Tooth Discoloration

Congenital discoloration, long-term staining, uneven tooth color, or discoloration that cannot be sufficiently corrected with whitening alone.

— 02

Gaps Between the Front Teeth

The width, spacing, and overall proportions of the teeth can be redesigned to create a more balanced appearance.

— 03

Uneven Tooth Shape or Size

Small teeth, short teeth, asymmetrical teeth, or irregular tooth shapes can be improved to better match the surrounding teeth.

— 04

Chipped or Worn Teeth

Teeth that have been chipped, fractured, or worn down may be restored to a more natural shape and appearance.

— 05

Mildly Misaligned Front Teeth

In selected cases, mild crowding, rotation, or uneven alignment may be cosmetically improved without full orthodontic treatment.

— 06

Unnatural Existing Veneers

Previous veneers that appear too bulky, too white, uneven, or poorly matched to the gum line may be replaced after clinical evaluation.

— 07

Important Upcoming Events

For patients preparing for a wedding, interview, photo shoot, overseas study, or other important event, an intensive treatment schedule may be discussed.

— 08

Your Own Concern

Not sure if DIAlami is right for you? A detailed clinical evaluation determines the most appropriate treatment plan.

※ Treatment suitability depends on the condition of the teeth, gums, bite, existing restorations, and overall oral health.

04 · Why Choose DIAlami

What makes DIAlami different?

01
— Preservation-First

A conservative approach focused on tooth preservation.

The first principle of DIAlami is to avoid removing healthy tooth structure unnecessarily. In some cases, limited preparation may be required for protruding teeth, uneven alignment, or color correction. Where no-preparation or minimal-preparation treatment is appropriate, the natural enamel is preserved as much as possible.

The amount of preparation is not the same for every patient. It is determined individually based on tooth position, shape, thickness, color, and the desired final design.

02
— Face-Matched Design

A smile designed to match your face.

Applying the same tooth shape to every patient can result in an artificial appearance. DIAlami individually designs the length, width, angle, surface texture, and proportions of each tooth according to the patient's facial structure and natural dental characteristics.

  • Soft and natural
  • Refined and sophisticated
  • Bright and youthful
  • Calm and trustworthy
03
— Natural Depth & Color

Natural depth, color, and translucency.

Natural teeth are not made of a single flat color. Their appearance is created by a combination of translucency, internal shading, surface texture, and the way light reflects through the enamel.

DIAlami prioritizes a natural level of brightness and translucency rather than an overly opaque or excessively white appearance. The veneer shade is selected based not only on the desired brightness but also on the surrounding teeth, skin tone, and overall facial balance.

04
— Digital Precision

Digital diagnosis and precision planning.

Accurate veneer treatment begins with precise diagnostic data. A digital intraoral scanner is used to record the shape of the teeth and gums. This information is then used to plan tooth proportions, alignment, and veneer design.

When necessary, facial photographs, dental photographs, X-rays, and bite analysis are also included to achieve both aesthetic and functional harmony.

05
— Dentist × Technician

Collaboration between dentist and dental technician.

The quality of DIAlami depends on close collaboration between the clinical team and the dental laboratory. The dentist evaluates the teeth, gums, bite, and preparation requirements. The dental technician then uses this information to create the shape, shade, translucency, and surface texture of each ceramic veneer.

This coordinated process allows both the patient's aesthetic goals and clinical needs to be reflected in the final result.

06
— Intensive Scheduling

Intensive treatment scheduling.

Guardians Dental Clinic offers intensive treatment scheduling for international patients and patients with limited availability. When teeth and gums are healthy and all diagnostic and production requirements are met, consultation, design, fabrication, and bonding may be completed within a shorter treatment period.

Speed is important, but accuracy and long-term stability always come first.

05 · The DIAlami Design Philosophy

What defines
a well-designed veneer?

Not simply the thinnest veneer
but the right thickness in the right area.
Not simply the whitest teeth
but a shade that harmonizes with the face and skin tone.
Not simply straighter-looking teeth
but teeth designed with proper bite and oral health in mind.
Not teeth that only look good in photographs
but teeth that also look natural when speaking and smiling.
Not the same design for everyone
but a personalized smile created for one individual — you.
06 · Treatment Process

How is DIAlami
treatment performed?

STEP 01

Consultation & Diagnosis

We begin by discussing your current concerns and the type of smile you would like to achieve. The dentist evaluates the teeth, gums, bite, cavities, existing restorations, and possible preparation requirements to determine whether veneers are the right treatment option.

STEP 02

Digital Scan & Smile Analysis

A digital intraoral scan and clinical photographs are taken to record the teeth, gums, lips, and facial features. The smile is analyzed not only from the front but also during natural lip movement to determine the most appropriate design direction.

STEP 03

Personalized Smile Design

The length, width, shape, shade, and alignment of the teeth are individually planned. The patient's preferred aesthetic is carefully balanced with the dentist's clinical assessment to avoid an excessive or unnatural result.

STEP 04

Minimal Tooth Preparation

Depending on the treatment plan, the teeth may remain untouched or may be minimally shaped where necessary. The amount of preparation may vary from tooth to tooth. The goal is to preserve natural enamel while creating sufficient space for a stable and natural-looking ceramic restoration.

STEP 05

Custom Ceramic Fabrication

Each veneer is custom-made using the digital scan and approved smile design. The shape, shade, translucency, texture, and individual characteristics of each tooth are adjusted to harmonize with the surrounding teeth and facial appearance.

STEP 06

Try-In & Final Bonding

Before final bonding, the shape, color, length, and overall balance of the veneers are carefully checked. Once the patient and dentist are satisfied with the result, the veneers are bonded using a ceramic-specific adhesive system.

STEP 07

Bite Adjustment & Maintenance

After bonding, the bite is carefully evaluated to ensure that excessive pressure is not placed on any single tooth. Regular checkups are recommended to monitor the veneers, gum health, and bite over time.

07 · Minimal Preparation

How much tooth reduction
is actually required?

— Amount of Tooth Reduction
Conventional Laminate Veneers 0.5–1.0 mm
Other Minimal / Non-Prep Veneers 0.2–0.3 mm
DIAlami — Selective Prep / Non-Prep Near-ZERO

DIAlami does not insist on no-preparation treatment in every case. Forcing a no-prep approach when it is not clinically appropriate can make the teeth appear bulky or protrusive at the gum line. On the other hand, excessive reduction may unnecessarily compromise healthy tooth structure.

The most appropriate preparation level is determined based on:

  • The degree of tooth protrusion
  • Tooth alignment and rotation
  • The amount of color change required
  • The desired tooth size and shape
  • The minimum ceramic thickness needed
  • The position of the veneer margin
  • The amount of enamel available for bonding
08 · DIAlami Ceramic Materials

Ceramics designed
to reproduce natural light.

Ceramic does more than reflect light. It allows light to partially pass through and reflect from within, creating depth and translucency similar to natural teeth.

"There is no single material that is ideal for every patient."

09 · One-Day DIAlami

Intensive treatment
for limited time.

One-day or short-term intensive treatment may be considered for international patients, patients traveling from other regions, or those preparing for important events.

— One-Day treatment may be possible when

  • The teeth and gums are healthy
  • No cavity or root canal treatment is required
  • Tooth alignment and bite changes are minimal
  • The consultation and smile design have been completed in advance
  • The required laboratory schedule is available

— Additional visits may be required when

  • Cavities or existing restorations require treatment
  • Gum inflammation or gum contouring is needed
  • Root canal treatment may be necessary
  • Tooth alignment or bite changes are significant
  • A temporary restoration is required
  • Additional shade or design adjustments are requested

"One-day treatment cannot be confirmed based on an online consultation alone. Final eligibility is determined after an in-person clinical examination."

Common questions
about DIAlami.

Have a question that isn't answered here? Book an online consultation and our team will respond within 24 hours.

Is DIAlami treatment painful?+
When tooth preparation is required, local anesthesia is generally used to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Some patients may experience temporary sensitivity or a slightly unfamiliar feeling after treatment, but this usually improves over time.
Can DIAlami be done without removing any tooth structure?+
No-preparation treatment may be possible in selected cases. However, it is not suitable for every patient. Forcing a no-preparation approach may result in teeth that appear bulky or protrusive, so the treatment plan must be based on a detailed evaluation.
How many teeth should be treated?+
The number of veneers depends on how many teeth are visible when you smile and which areas you would like to improve. Some patients may need only one or two veneers, while others may benefit from treating several teeth to achieve better symmetry and shade consistency.
Should I choose teeth whitening or veneers?+
If your main concern is tooth color and the tooth shape and alignment are already satisfactory, whitening may be the first option to consider. If you would also like to improve tooth shape, size, spacing, or alignment, veneers may be more suitable.
Can DIAlami replace orthodontic treatment?+
Mild tooth misalignment may sometimes be improved cosmetically with veneers. However, orthodontic treatment may be more appropriate for significant crowding, protrusion, or bite problems. In some cases, a combination of limited orthodontic treatment and veneers may be recommended.
How long do veneers last?+
The longevity of veneers depends on several factors, including bonding conditions, oral hygiene, bite, teeth grinding, lifestyle habits, and regular maintenance. Routine dental checkups are important for long-term stability.
Can veneers chip or come off?+
Veneers may chip or become detached due to trauma, biting hard objects, teeth grinding, clenching, or changes in the bite. If you notice any problem, avoid attempting to repair it yourself and visit the dental clinic for evaluation.
